
How to Use the Virtual Telemicroscope
NOTE: the Virtual Telemicroscope and accompanying slide sets are available
on the black computers in the 5th floor carrels of the College of Medicine.

Installing the Software

Accessing Virtual Slides
Download and unzip
the Virtual Slide Set [39.3 Mb]
NOTE: If you require an unzipping program, you can download a free
copy of Winzip here.
Launch the Viewer program and click the Folder button.

Navigate to the unzipped folder, Pathology Labs. Select the slide tray
you wish to view from the dialog box.

A series of slides should appear onscreen.
Click on any slide to view a higher power image of the slide. |

Understanding the Toolbar
To access the toolbar, move your cursor to the top of the screen and
it will appear automatically.
NOTE: crossed-out
icons are not applicable at the current time.

Use the magnifying glass button, the microscope button, and the linked
image button to go back and the forth to examine the slides. When you
are ready to view another slide, click the slide icon in the toolbar. |
