Recall that the aponeurosis of the transversus abdominis muscle, which is above the arcuate line, contributes to the
posterior layer of the rectus sheath. Inferior to this line, its aponeurosis passes anterior to the rectus abdominis muscle (Figure 35.5A and Figure 35.5B).
