Next, remove the eyeball from the orbit. To do this, initially identify, and then cut and reflect the muscles which are responsible for the movements of the eye in the following sequence (see Figure 29.4):
Finally, cut the optic nerve immediately posterior to the eyeball, and remove the eyeball .
