Anterior (Crural) Compartment, Steps 1 to 5 (Figure 15.1).

Place the cadaver in the supine position and remove the deep (crural) fascia surrounding the muscles of the leg. Identify the following thickenings of the deep fascia that hold the tendons of the muscles of the anterior compartment of the leg in position at the ankle:
