On the medial side of the posterior thigh, identify the tendon of the semitendinosus muscle, which attaches inferiorly to the medial condyle of the tibia, along with the tendon of the gracilis muscle and the sartorius muscle. These three tendons, when viewed collectively, form a three pronged structure called the pes anserinus superficialis or goose-foot.
