There are three components of the radioulnar joints (Figure 10.6) which allow the radius to rotate about the ulna. These are:

The interosseous membrane is a tough flexible fibrous membrane which provides attachment sites for some extensor and flexor forearm muscles while allowing movement of the radius about the ulna.
