To expose the remaining portion of the median nerve in the forearm, cut through the tendon of palmaris longus muscle and reflect it superiorly . Then, cut the tendon of flexor carpi radialis muscle and reflect it superiorly. This exposes the flexor digitorum superficialis muscle which is the muscle of the intermediate layer. Cut the flexor digitorum superficialis muscle from its origin along the anterior oblique line of the radius and reflect it medially . Identify the pronator teres muscle and then cut through the muscle close to its attachment to the radius. Then reflect the pronator teres muscle superiorly.
